Day 5

Tasting: lemon sole with a generous heap of chips
Seeing: broad grassy plains, brightly colored buildings
Smelling: marina
Hearing: wind
Feeling: sluggish

Today was the day trip to Kinsale! First we visited Charles Fort, providing a beautiful view of the River Bandon as well as an infinite amount of crevices to explore. Both, of course, are important photo ops.

We then were bussed over to Kinsale town, a cute shoreside town with plenty of small vendors. Much exploring was done and important items purchased (for me, a used copy of John Barton’s Playing Shakespeare and for Erin, a cozy wool blanket).

The hours of trekking over hills and tiny narrow sidewalks, as well as the very hearty seafood lunch we had, left us all comatose by the time we went home. Too tired to write in great detail the events of my day. But hopefully these photos will suffice.
